COVID-19

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Information:

Empire Eye Physicians is working to manage this rapidly evolving situation as you and your family’s health & vision is our highest priority.

Empire Eye Physicians is following the recommendations of state and local health authorities to mitigate the spread of infection in our community. At this time our clinics, and our surgery center are fully operational and we continue to accept new patients.

We have adopted new facility cleaning protocols in our clinics and surgery center: we are going above and beyond our normal processes to methodically deep clean every exam room and all public areas and meticulously sanitize our testing equipment after each use. This may take a little extra time and your patience is appreciated as we ensure a healthy environment for you!

Given the dynamic nature of the situation, we plan to update our website regularly to ensure our patients have up to date information regarding our status.

In the meantime, please follow these recommendations on how to protect yourself and others:

  • If you feel sick and have any of these symptoms, Fever (greater than 100.4) and lower respiratory illness (cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing) and have traveled to affected areas within the previous 14 days or have had close contact with lab-confirmed COVID-19 patient within previous 14 days, please contact our Spokane Valley office at (509) 928-8040 or the Coeur d’Alene office at (208) 664-9888 to discuss rescheduling your appointment
  • Practice good personal hygiene habits, including handwashing, coughing into your elbow, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Avoid the emergency room unless it’s essential. The emergency room is trying to limit any possible exposure and serve those with critical needs.
