Ashlin Sturbaum Zarate, O.D.

Dr. Ashlin Sturbaum Zarate is an Optometrist in Spokane, WA. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2022.

Dr. Ashlin Sturbaum Zarate earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Portland in 2014. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry in 2022, graduating with honors and distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, as well as a member of the American Optometric Association and Optometric Physicians of Washington.

Dr. Zarate performs routine eye exams and specializes in co-managing patients with ophthalmologist, Dr. Sturbaum. This includes pre and post-op care for cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, SMILE, and corneal collagen cross-linking. She is also trained in regards to managing glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and dry eye disease.

She grew up in Spokane, WA, and was happy to move back to the area after finishing school. Dr. Zarate and her husband, Nathan, have one daughter, Isla. They enjoy golfing together and like spending time at the lake with friends and family.
